BBC Good Food Healthy Diet Plan

THE AIM

The goal of this project was to present the 2023 Summer Healthy Diet Plan content as a supplement magazine for BBC Good Food. BBC Good Food is the UK’s market-leading food magazine and digital edition; the UK’s number one food website; host of an expanding number of live events, including the UK’s largest food event – BBC Good Food Show at the Birmingham NEC – and producer of a hugely successful series of cookbooks.

THE CHALLENGE

Aiming to catch the eye of the brand's audience, this supplement needed to incorporate fresh, vibrant food photography and fun, engaging layouts in order to highlight the delicious yet healthy recipes. My role in this project included art directing the photography shoot and designing the layouts for the supplement magazine.

THE OUTCOME

I designed the supplement magazine with a focus on dynamic layouts and vibrant photography, incorporating the BBC Good Food brand look and feel through bright summer colours. By exploring a vibrant colour palette and soft dappled lighting, the food photography highlighted the summery feel of the content and complimented the light, healthy recipes.
