Dove Men+Care Proposal 2023

THE AIM

The goal of this project was to design a social media campaign that supported the Dove Men+Care commitment to end social injustice and challenge male stereotypes. With a heritage that spans 60 years, Dove Men+Care is a hair and skincare brand that celebrates modern masculinity and demonstrates that real strength takes care.

THE CHALLENGE

This campaign aimed to showcase Black men playing a caring role in society through engaging social assets that emphasises the Dove Men+Care ethos that 'Real strength is shown through the care that you give to the people that matter'. Aiming to catch the eye of today's dynamic visual society, these creatives needs to be fresh and exciting whilst celebrating the current branding look and feel.

THE OUTCOME

My proposal for the Dove Men+Care social campaign focuses on celebrating the caring acts of service and support that the everyday Black man provides within the Dove Men+Care community. Through nominations from friends and family, this series of social assets will highlight and recognise the ways in which the Black men in our lives show they care.

I have designed a dynamic set of animated Instagram stories and grid posts to enage the audience and stand out in today’s visual society. The focus on nominated friends or family members and relaxed, natural headshots aims to create a more relatable feel to these creatives that would resonate with the audience. I have captured a playful, modern aesthetic through bold animated typography and a vibrant colour palette.
